As expectations rise that the worst of Covid- related disruptions are now behind us, and the job markets have started becoming more vibrant, a key challenge for all functional heads in particular and HR heads in general, would be to retain their best talent.
Even for the headcounts that are retained, both the functional and HR heads need to ponder, if they are indeed giving their 100% to the organization, or are just "keeping their heads above water for the sake of retaining their jobs for the time being".
No matter what kind of state-of-the-art digitalization an organization may undertake, no matter what kind of fancy "come-back" strategies an organization may evolve, the end results may be sub-optimal unless accompanied by highly empowered and highly motivated human resources.
